It's curtain time for those hideous hospital curtains

The results of the clinical survey* are out and they are truly shocking!

42% of hospital curtains are contaminated with untreatable bacteria, 22% with MRSA.
MRSA is a bacteria that can take hold in human tissues and eventually becomes resistant to treatment. Some virulant MRSA strains spread more rapidly and cause severe illness affecting vital organs and can even lead to necrotizing ("flesh-eating") pneumonia.

A ruptured MRSA abcess

The answer is Silentia.... The world's most hygienic screen system.

It's flat surfaces can be quickly and easily cleaned, they withstand the disinfectants used in care situations today and the enclosed wheels can easily be removed and washed in a dishwasher. It meets the strictest of hygiene requirements and all of its surfaces are accessible for cleaning.

The Silentia Screen System has also been designed to improve patient comfort and takes up little space when it's not being used. It is easy to pull out, section by section, to the desired length. It can be placed at an angle and fixed in different positions. It is available in 2 heights -1.45 metres tall, an ideal height which doesn't block the daylight and allows staff a good view of the room and 1.85m tall.

The screen is available for wall mounting where it doesn't get in the way of lifting devices mounted on the ceiling and is also available as a mobile screen.

This Youtube clip shows how stylish the system looks and how easy it is to use and maintain.
